The voices of children with disabilities across Africa
We conducted research with over 1,000 children with disabilities across East and Southern Africa to find out what children with disabilities need.
We are a network of African organisations working across the continent, breaking down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive.
We do this in three ways:
We stand up for the rights of children and young people with disabilities, we ensure they have access to an education and the services they need, and we amplify their voices to demand their own inclusion.
We build inclusive child protection systems.
We demand inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights.
We strengthen inclusive early childhood development.
We advance inclusive education.
We promote inclusive mental health and wellbeing.
We raise the voices of children and young people with disabilities.
We are focused on building a comprehensive data set on the experiences of children with disabilities on the continent.
