What we do

We are a network of African organisations working across the continent, breaking down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive

We do this in three ways:

We deliver programmes that support children and young people with disabilities.

We stand up for the rights of children and young people with disabilities, we ensure they have access to an education and the services they need, and we amplify their voices to demand their own inclusion.

Background pattern
The right to feel safe.

We build inclusive child protection systems.

We demand inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights.

The right to an education.

We strengthen inclusive early childhood development.

We advance inclusive education.

The right to be heard.

We promote inclusive mental health and wellbeing.

We raise the voices of children and young people with disabilities.

We generate data on children with disabilities to understand how we can deepen our impact.

We are focused on building a comprehensive data set on the experiences of children with disabilities on the continent.

DATA PROJECT

We advocate for change for children and young people with disabilities

As a network our voice is louder. We come together to create change on a national and international level. We do this by:

Advocating for change in national and international policies to drive inclusion.
We push governments, donors and other key change makers to improve existing services and increase opportunities for children and young people with disabilities.
Ensuring the voices of children and young people with disabilities are heard.
We campaign to ensure the voices of children and young people with disabilities are heard, advocating for them to be included in any decisions that affect them.
Working with international donors to ensure funding is disability-inclusive.
We work with donors to ensure there is disability-inclusive and targeted funding specifically for organisations working for children with disabilities.
